Jenny Hartigan Selected as 2024 Grosvenor Fellow
In April, National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions announced the 2024 Grosvenor Fellowship cohort, which includes Jenny Hartigan (NOAA TAS, 2017). Jenny is headed to Antarctica in December!
The Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship is a two-year professional development program supported by the National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions. Thirty-five teachers from the U.S. and Canada will travel to stunning natural and cultural environments around the world. These educators align with both companies’ commitment to shaping the next generation of planetary stewards. Read the full announcement here.
Jenny, on what she hopes to bring back to her students:
“I can’t wait to share my Antarctic experience with my students and provide them with a direct connection to polar climate science. When students see my passion, they become inspired to take leadership in areas that matter to them. I hope this will amplify their climate action projects and inspire them to take care of our beautiful planet.”
Congratulations, Jenny!
