Mary Patterson (TAS 2009) volunteered at the STEM Alliance Event on March 28, 2014, in Laredo, TX. The event was hosted by the Office of Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX28) and Texas A&M International University. STEM professionals, activities and career information reached local Hispanic and female students who are underrepresented in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Ms. Patterson demonstrated a hands-on sea floor mapping activity using a hydrography model to Laredo Independent School District students.
