NOAA’s Alaska Fisheries Science Center’s Science and Research Director Supports Teacher at Sea

NOAA’s Alaska Fisheries Science Center’s (AFSC) Science and Research Director, Dr. Douglas DeMaster, recently expressed his support for the NOAA Teacher at Sea (TAS) Program. In his letter, he explains that over the last 21 years, NOAA science benefits “greatly from the assistance provided to our research scientists by the many teachers we have had the pleasure to sail with,” and “the TAS program serves a critical role” in fisheries research.
