Jason Moeller Attends NSTA Louisville

Jason Moeller (TAS 2011) represented the NOAA Teacher at Sea Program at a regional NSTA conference in Louisville, KY on October 18-20, 2012.

Jason informed the public about Teacher at Sea and distributed NOAA education materials. His work at the conference, helped to teach science teachers and others NOAA’s mission and service to the public, as well as, show NOAA’s impact on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.

Jason also shared information about the TAS program in two NSTA sessions: “Data is Not a Four-Letter Word” and “NOAA in Your Backyard”.

When asked if he enjoyed the conference, Jason replied, “Spending time with fellow educators is always excellent, as it allows us to swap ideas. These ideas can range from individual hands-on demonstrations that we use in the classroom to entire lesson plans. The exchange of ideas that occur at these conferences help every educator who attends them to grow tremendously.”
